Currently AccuReg is completing electronic notice of admission for United Healthcare. Simply put, when a patient is admitted as an inpatient, AccuReg automatically fires off a notification to United Healthcare that one of their insured have been admitted to the hospital. AccuReg receives verification through an admission notification number assigned to the patient, which we send to the registrars work queue for them to post into the account notes. If AccuReg is unable to complete notice of admission (i.e. payer is down, incorrect patient or policy information) AccuReg returns a note to the registrars work queue letting them know a manual notice of admission should take place. AccuReg is working to identify additional payers that will accept electronic notice of admission for our clients.
