of 424 BCBS claims in today's billing
there were only 7 registration errors
that appeared on the CCI edits. That
is a RECORD! We usually have at least
100 or so with a billing of this size.
Each Patient Account Rep says they have seen at least a
75-80% decrease in the number of registration errors since
the implementation of AccuReg. Because the claims are clean
on the first edits, it saves hours that the clerk doesn't
have to stop, print a status and send the status back to
registration, or stop and call registration, or even sometimes
call the patient to get the correct information so that
the claim will go clean. There are some significant savings
in per hour rework labor."
